Balancely pricing, plans and billing
Balancely plans for TallyPrime compared: TallyPrime entries a month, companies, team logins and bill pages, with launch prices, GST invoices and how to change or cancel.
Balancely has a Free plan and three paid plans: Business, Professional and Firm. Every plan saves every kind of entry. Plans differ in how many TallyPrime entries you save, how many companies you connect, how many people sign in and how many bill pages are read. You pay through Razorpay.
Before you start
Only the account owner can open Plan & Billing, pay, and download invoices.
Confirm your email address before you pay.
Everyone on the team can open the Usage page.
The plans
Prices are launch prices before GST. 18% GST is added at checkout. A year costs the same as ten months, so you get two months free.
| Free | Business | Professional | Firm | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price a month | Free | ₹349 + GST (was ₹499) | ₹999 + GST (was ₹1,499) | ₹1,999 + GST (was ₹2,999) |
| Price a year | — | ₹3,490 + GST | ₹9,990 + GST | ₹19,990 + GST |
| TallyPrime entries a month | 50 | 1,000 | 5,000 | Unlimited (fair use) |
| TallyPrime companies | 1 | 1 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Team logins | 1 | 2 | 5 | 15 |
| Scanned pages read a month (bills and bank statements) | 100 free, once | 100 | 500 | 2,000 |
| Applications | 1 | 5 | 20 | 50 |
| Activity history | 7 days | 30 days | 90 days | 180 days |
| Support | Community | Priority email |
Reports, lists and searches are unlimited on every plan.
Team logins count you, everyone you added, and invites not yet accepted.
An application lets another tool save in TallyPrime through Balancely. For example n8n, Zapier, Make or your own software.
For more companies, people or entries than Firm, choose Contact sales on the Custom plan card on the Plan & Billing page.
Launch prices and the price lock
Paid plans have launch prices until 31 March 2027. Plan cards show the regular price struck through, with Launch price · until 31 Mar 2027. After that date, new purchases pay the regular price.
Buy a paid plan before the offer ends, and its launch price is locked for that plan and billing cycle. Every renewal uses the locked price. The Usage this month card on Plan & Billing says, for example, Your launch price of ₹349/month is locked.
When a locked price lapses
Fair use on the Firm plan
Firm shows entries as Unlimited (fair use). Fair use is about 25,000 entries a month. Entries are never stopped on Firm. If you pass that level in a month, you get one notice and one email. You can turn the email off. Our team then talks to you about a Custom plan.
What counts as an entry
| Counts | Does not count |
|---|---|
| A voucher, ledger, stock item or other record saved in TallyPrime for you | Reports, lists and searches |
| Each record saved from an Excel import, bank statement, GSTR check or bill | An entry that fails, including when TallyPrime or the connector cannot be reached |
| Records your other tools save through an application | Connection checks |
Scanned pages are counted on their own. Bill pages count when you upload the bills. Pages of a scanned bank or card statement count when it is read. Saving a read bill or statement line in TallyPrime then counts as an entry. Both counts start again at midnight on the 1st of each month, India time.
The Free plan reads 100 scanned pages free, once, so you can try bill and statement reading. They do not start again each month. Pages you read on a paid plan count towards them too.
What happens at the limit
At 80% and again at 100% of your TallyPrime entries for the month, you get a notice and an email. You can turn the email off.
At the limit, new entries are not saved. A message says this month’s entries are used up and the count resets on the 1st. Nothing is charged on its own.
Reports, your data and your connections keep working.
If you upgrade, entries go on as soon as the new plan is active. If not, they start again at midnight on the 1st, India time.
When scanned pages run out, the bills page shows This month’s bill pages are used up and the bank statement page shows This month’s scanned pages are used up. On the Free plan, it says Your free bill pages are used up or Your free scanned pages are used up.
Only the account owner can change the plan. Upgrade notes show the owner See plans, and everyone else Ask the account owner.
See your usage
Plan & Billing has a Usage this month card with the reset date. Each tile shows what is used, the limit and how many are left. A tile turns amber at 80% and red at 100%.
The Usage page shows TallyPrime entries this month, Success rate, Failed and Month-end pace. On a plan with bill reading, a Scanned pages tile shows the bill and statement pages read this month, out of your limit. On the Free plan, it shows the free pages used and how many are left. If you will pass the limit at your pace, it warns you before that day. Below is a chart of the last 7, 30 or 90 days, and a Month by month view of six months. There is also an activity list you can download as a CSV file.
Choose a plan and pay
- 1
Open Plan & Billing and scroll to Choose a plan.
- 2
Choose Monthly or Yearly.
- 3
Choose Upgrade on the plan you want.
- 4
Leave Renew automatically on to pay each cycle. Or turn it off to pay once, for one month or one year.
- 5
Choose Pay. Pay in Razorpay’s window with UPI AutoPay, card or net banking.
The plan starts within seconds, once Razorpay confirms the payment. Prices are before GST. 18% GST is added at checkout. The pay button shows the total with GST. Before you pay, the checkout shows Invoice to. This is the name and GSTIN on your invoice. Choose Edit to change them first.
Invoices with GST
- 1
Enter Billing details on Plan & Billing: Company or legal name, GSTIN, State and Billing address. If you enter a GSTIN, the state comes from its first two digits.
- 2
Choose Save details. New invoices show them from then on.
- 3
To download, choose View billing history, open a paid payment, then Download invoice or Download receipt.
Every payment, one-time or automatic, gets a Balancely tax invoice as soon as it is received. It is numbered like BAL/26-27/00001, in the financial year it was paid. It shows the place of supply, the SAC, the service period, the taxable value and the GST. It never changes after that. If you edit Billing details later, only new invoices change. Download it any time from billing history.
Your state, or your GSTIN’s state, decides the GST. In Madhya Pradesh, our state, the invoice shows CGST and SGST. In any other state, it shows IGST.
If you save no GSTIN and no state, we treat the supply as in Madhya Pradesh. Add your state to get the right GST.
A refund shows on the payment’s receipt. The tax invoice stays as it was issued.
Older automatic payments, from before Balancely made its own invoices, keep the Razorpay invoice. Download invoice opens it.
Upgrade, downgrade or cancel
Move to a bigger plan, or from monthly to yearly
The new plan starts as soon as you allow AutoPay. Nothing is charged that day. The unused part of your current period becomes free days on the new plan. When they end, AutoPay charges the new plan’s first cycle. Before you confirm, the checkout shows the free days and the first charge date.
The unused part is what you paid for the period before GST, after any discount or refund. It is then multiplied by the days left, and divided by the days in the period. Today counts as a day left.
Free days are that amount divided by the new plan’s price for one day. One day is its monthly price divided by 30, or its yearly price divided by 365. We round down to whole days.
Example: Business at ₹349 a month, upgraded on day 16 of 30, leaves ₹174.50 unused. Professional costs ₹33.30 a day, so you get 5 free days, then ₹999 + GST each month.
When you set up AutoPay, your bank or UPI app may show a small charge from Razorpay. Razorpay returns it.
If the bigger plan is paid once, the free days are added to the end of the paid month or year.
The old plan’s AutoPay is cancelled. If it renewed just before the change, that renewal is refunded in full.
Move to a smaller plan, or from yearly to monthly
Your current plan goes on until its paid period ends. The new plan starts then. You allow AutoPay now. Nothing is charged today, and there is no refund for the current period. The Usage this month card shows the coming change and its start date.
You cannot move to a smaller plan while the account has more than it allows, such as more companies or applications. The message says what to remove first.
A smaller plan paid once starts as soon as it is paid, and the current plan ends then.
You get no free days if the current plan has a payment due, has stopped, or was never charged. The new plan is then a new purchase.
While a change is waiting to start, another plan change must wait. Switching to Free works at any time.
Cancel
Choose Cancel subscription beside your plan's name on the Usage this month card. AutoPay stops at Razorpay at once. Any plan change waiting to start also stops. Nothing more is charged. While the status is Active, you keep the plan until the paid period ends. Then the account moves to Free. Choosing Switch to Free does the same. If Razorpay cannot cancel it right then, a message says so. Reload the page to check the status, and try again in a moment.
If a renewal is due or has stopped, or you are on the free days of an upgrade, cancelling moves the account to Free at once. A plan paid once has nothing to cancel. It ends on its own. Choosing Switch to Free on it moves you to Free at once. You lose the rest of the paid period.
| Status | Means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Active | Paid up, or on the free days of an upgrade. With Renew automatically on, the next charge is automatic. A one-time payment ends on its own. | Nothing. |
| Payment due | A renewal did not go through. Razorpay tries again over the next few days. | Check your UPI, card or bank mandate. |
| Stopped | Renewals kept failing. So the plan stopped and the account is on Free. | Choose a plan and pay again. |
| Ends at period end | Cancelled, or moving to a smaller plan. You keep the plan until the paid period ends. | Nothing, or pay again any time to continue. |
There is no refund button on the billing page. To ask for one, contact us. The refunds and cancellation policy explains when one applies.
When something goes wrong
Each heading is the message as Balancely shows it. Find yours, or search every message on Fix a problem.
“You have used 50 of the 50 TallyPrime entries on your plan this month. Upgrade your plan to save more now. The count resets on the 1st. Reports and reads still work.”
Where you see it: The result of an entry, an import row or a bill, in Accounts > Activity History, on the Usage page, and in an email to the account owner.
This month’s TallyPrime entries on your plan are used up. Free has 50, Business 1,000 and Professional 5,000. Firm never stops. Reports and searches still work, and your company is fine. This entry was not saved in TallyPrime and was not counted.
- 1
If you are the owner, open Plan & Billing and choose a bigger plan. Entries work again as soon as it is active.
- 2
If you are not the owner, ask the account owner to upgrade. Only the owner can change the plan.
- 3
Or wait until midnight on the 1st, India time. Then the count starts again.
- 4
Then save those entries again. Use Save failed entries again for an import, Save in TallyPrime on a bill, or the entry’s form for anything else.
It worked when: The Usage this month card on Plan & Billing shows entries left.
Next time: You get a notice and an email at 80% and at 100%. The Usage page also warns you early if you will go over. See What counts as an entry.
“Your Business plan reads 100 bill pages a month and 96 are used; these files have 7. Upgrade your plan to read more this month.”
Where you see it: Accounts > AI-Powered Invoicing and the Bank Statement Import page, as a warning with See plans for the owner, or Ask the account owner for everyone else.
Bill pages and scanned statement pages share one monthly limit: Business 100, Professional 500, Firm 2,000. The Free plan has 100 pages free, once; they do not start again each month. If an upload has more pages than are left, none of its files is read. No file in that upload was read or counted. Nothing was saved in TallyPrime.
- 1
For a bank statement, download the Excel or CSV statement from net banking and import that instead. It uses no scanned pages.
- 2
For bills, upload fewer files at a time. Then the pages fit in what is left this month.
- 3
Upload only the pages you need. Leave out terms and conditions pages and blank pages.
- 4
Or ask the account owner to move to a bigger plan in Plan & Billing. On a paid plan, you can also wait until the 1st, when the count starts again.
- 5
You can always enter a bill by hand on the Purchase Invoices form. It uses no scanned pages.
It worked when: The upload goes through and the bills show as Processing.
Next time: The Scanned pages tile on the Usage page shows how many are left this month. See Bill-reading pages and your plan.
“Your plan includes 1 TallyPrime connection. Upgrade your plan to add more.”
Where you see it: When you connect a company, add an application or add a webhook, and on an application’s approval screen.
You have reached your plan’s limit for companies, applications or webhooks. Free and Business allow 1 TallyPrime company. Professional and Firm allow any number. A pairing you started but did not finish counts too. Nothing was added.
- 1
Open Connections and look for a company you no longer use, or a half-finished pairing.
- 2
Disconnect or delete it. See Disconnecting and deleting. Your books in TallyPrime are not touched.
- 3
Or ask the account owner to move to a bigger plan in Plan & Billing.
- 4
Try again.
Next time: See The plans for each plan’s limits.
“Bank Reconciliation comes with every paid plan. Setting bank dates is never counted as an entry.”
Where you see it: The Bank Reconciliation page, and the Bank Statement Import page, with See plans for the owner, or Ask the account owner for everyone else.
You are on the Free plan. Bank Reconciliation and AI ledger suggestions on bank statements come with the paid plans. Nothing was changed in TallyPrime.
- 1
Ask the account owner to move to any paid plan in Plan & Billing.
- 2
On Free, you can still import bank statements. Choose the ledgers yourself, or use rules. See Bank and card statements.
“This TallyPrime connection is paused: your plan includes 1 connection and this one is over it. Upgrade your plan or remove another connection to use it again.”
Where you see it: Every entry and report on that company: the result card, Accounts > Activity History and the Usage page.
The account has more companies than its plan allows. This often happens after a move to a smaller plan, or after a paid plan stopped. The oldest companies within the limit keep working. The newer ones pause. Nothing is deleted. Nothing was saved in TallyPrime for this company.
- 1
If the plan stopped, the owner starts it again in Plan & Billing. The company works again at once.
- 2
Or move to Professional or Firm, which allow any number of companies.
- 3
Or disconnect or delete an older company you no longer need. Then the paused one is within the limit.
It worked when: An entry or report on that company goes through again.
“This account has 2 TallyPrime connections, and Business allows 1. Remove what is over the limit, then change plan.”
Where you see it: The plan change dialog on Plan & Billing, or a notice there.
You cannot move to a smaller plan while you have more companies, applications or webhooks than it allows. The message lists what is over. Your plan was not changed.
- 1
Read what the message lists.
- 2
Disconnect or delete the extra companies on Connections, and delete extra applications or webhooks.
- 3
For “one application using … connections”, open that application and remove the extra companies from it.
- 4
Choose the smaller plan again.
“Confirm your email address first — check your inbox for the link we sent.”
Where you see it: A notice on Plan & Billing after choosing Pay.
Payments need a confirmed email address. Then your invoices and payment emails reach you. Nothing was charged.
- 1
Open the confirmation email from Balancely and click its link. It works for 24 hours.
- 2
If you cannot find it, check spam, then ask for a new link.
- 3
Come back to Plan & Billing and pay.
“The payment did not work. Try again.”
Where you see it: A notice on Plan & Billing, after Razorpay’s payment window.
Razorpay could not take the payment, or its window did not open. If your bank or UPI app said no, Razorpay’s own reason shows instead. Your plan did not change.
- 1
Check your internet. Turn off any ad blocker for this page.
- 2
Choose Pay again, and try another method: UPI, card or net banking.
- 3
If your bank said no, check with your bank or UPI app. Check the daily limit or AutoPay permission.
- 4
For “too many checkout attempts”, wait a minute and try again.
It worked when: Plan & Billing shows the new plan as Active.
I paid, but my plan has not switched on
Where you see it: Plan & Billing, in the alert Confirming your payment.
The plan starts when Razorpay confirms the payment to Balancely. Closing the payment window is not enough. This often takes a few seconds. If money left your account, the payment is recorded once Razorpay confirms it.
- 1
Wait a minute. The page updates by itself.
- 2
Reload Plan & Billing.
- 3
If the plan is still not active after a few minutes and money left your account, contact us with the payment time and amount.
It worked when: The plan shows as Active and the payment is in billing history.
“The last renewal failed. The payment provider will try again in the next few days.”
Where you see it: The status Payment due on Plan & Billing, and an email to the owner.
An automatic renewal could not be charged. Razorpay tries again over the next few days. Your plan keeps working until then. Nothing was charged for this renewal yet.
- 1
Read What the payment provider said on Plan & Billing.
- 2
Check that your UPI AutoPay, card or bank account still works and has enough balance.
- 3
Wait for Razorpay to try again.
- 4
If your card, bank account or UPI ID changed, cancel the subscription. Then pay again with the new one.
It worked when: The status goes back to Active after the next charge.
“Renewals kept failing, so the plan has stopped. Start it again to continue.”
Where you see it: The status Stopped on Plan & Billing, and an email to the owner.
Razorpay could not charge the renewals. So the subscription stopped, and the account moved to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted. Your data and TallyPrime books are untouched. Free plan limits now apply, and companies over the Free limit are paused.
- 1
Open Plan & Billing and scroll to Choose a plan.
- 2
Choose Upgrade on your plan.
- 3
Pay with a working UPI, card or net banking method.
It worked when: The plan shows as Active, and paused companies work again.
“The payment provider could not cancel the subscription just now. Reload this page to see its status, then try again in a moment.”
Where you see it: The Cancel subscription or Switch to Free dialog on Plan & Billing.
Razorpay did not answer, so the subscription may still be on. If the message says no active subscription was found, there is nothing to cancel. The plan is already ending, stopped or cancelled. Nothing was charged. AutoPay may stay on until the cancel works.
- 1
Reload Plan & Billing and read the status beside your plan.
- 2
If it still shows Active or Payment due, choose Cancel subscription again in a minute.
- 3
If it shows Ends at period end or the Free plan, the cancel worked. You need to do nothing more.
It worked when: The status shows Ends at period end, or the account is on Free.
“That does not look like a GSTIN (15 characters, like 27AAECA1234F1Z6).”
Where you see it: Billing details on Plan & Billing, under the field.
The GSTIN is not in the right form. Or the state chosen is not the state in the GSTIN’s first two digits. Billing details were not saved. Invoices already issued do not change.
- 1
Enter the GSTIN from your GST certificate: 15 characters, in capitals.
- 2
Choose the state of the GSTIN, or leave it to follow the GSTIN.
- 3
Choose Save details.
Next time: Save your GSTIN before you pay. Then the invoice shows it. See Invoices with GST.
“Your change to Business is still settling. You can change plan again from 15 Nov, or switch to Free now.”
Where you see it: The plan change dialog on Plan & Billing.
An earlier plan change has not started yet. Another change must wait until it does. Your plan was not changed.
- 1
Wait until the date shown, then change the plan.
- 2
Or choose Switch to Free, which works at any time.

One record saved in TallyPrime, such as a voucher or a ledger. Reports, lists, failed entries and connection checks do not count.

New entries stop with a clear message. Nothing is charged. Reports keep working. Entries start again when you upgrade, or on the 1st.
