Every message Balancely shows has a fix here. Search for the words you see. Or start with the checks below. They fix most problems in a minute.

Check these first

  1. 1

The Balancely connector is open on the computer with TallyPrime. Its window says Connected. If it is closed, open it from the Start menu.

  2. 2

TallyPrime is open on that computer, with the right company open. No message box is waiting on its screen.

  3. 3

In TallyPrime, F1 (Help) > Settings > Connectivity has TallyPrime is acting as set to Both, on port 9000.

  4. 4

The computer is on the internet and not asleep.

  5. 5

On the Connections page, the company shows as online. Then try the step again.

Still stuck

Write to us from the contact page, or book a setup call from the help panel on your dashboard. We will look at it with you. To get help faster, send:

  • The message exactly as you see it, or a screenshot of it.

  • The company name and the screen you were on, for example Accounts > Bank Statement Import.

  • When it happened. The entry in Activity History or Usage shows the exact time.

  • Your TallyPrime release, from F1 (Help) > About.

Common questions

Did anything change in TallyPrime when an entry failed?

No. A failed entry saves nothing in TallyPrime. When you fix it and save again, it is the same entry, not a new one. So it never goes in twice.

Is my data safe if the connector or TallyPrime closes in the middle of a save?

Yes. Balancely checks every saved entry in TallyPrime. The same entry saved again never goes in twice. If a save did not finish, open the entry in Activity History. Check it in TallyPrime before you save it again.

Where do I see what failed and why?

In Activity History under Accounts. Each entry shows its status. A failed one also shows the reason. Click it to open its details and choose Fix & retry.
